Firefighters discover Carmel pot farm

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A Carmel woman was arrested Tuesday after firefighters allegedly discovered a marijuana grow operation while battling a fire in her home.

Firefighters called in the Hamilton/Boone County Drug Task Force to investigate the grow. The taskforce says a search of the home confirmed firefighters’ suspicions.

As a result of their search, Erica Beth Moorhead, 25, was taken into custody on charges of cultivating marijuana and possession of marijuana. She was booked into the Hamilton County Jail where she was held in lieu of $10,000 bond.

Police say more arrests are expected as a result of this investigation.
