Firefighters rescue dog from burning home

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - Noblesville Firefighters rescued a family dog from a burning home Monday evening.

Firefighters were dispatched to a home in the 1300 block of Monument Street around 6:15 p.m. Monday. When officers arrived on scene, they found heavy smoke showing from the home. While fighting the fire, crews rescued a dog from the burning home.

Responding crews had the fire under control within 15 minutes.

Upon investigation, crews found that a father of two was making dinner when his children discovered there was a fire coming into the kitchen.

The father quickly grabbed his two children and evacuated the home. No one was injured in this incident, however there is about $70,000 worth of damage to the home.
