FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) - More than 50,000 people usually attend the Fishers Freedom Festival.

This year they'll have to battle the sun and heat. Organizers are also prepared for more high risk activities, like a 5K run and fireworks.

Festival organizer Jennifer Kehl told 24-Hour News 8 that EMTs will be stationed in the park in case anyone needs their services.

She said the fireworks display this year will also be changed from a ground launch to a truck launch because of the dry conditions.

The festival runs Saturday and Sunday in Holland Park.
