CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Musicians will hold a concert Sunday night in Carmel to benefit the New World Youth Orchestras.
“Our musicians have been overwhelmed by the community support we have received in recent weeks, and we are so pleased to be returning to the stage to perform for them with Maestro Wong and André Watts,” said Rick Graef, chairman of the ISO musicians negotiating committee. “As musicians, our lives are about the joys of music, and we look forward to sharing that joy on the stage in Carmel.”
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the youth orchestra, which provides a high-quality, musical experience for young musicians in Central Indiana. Members range from 12 to 18 years old.
The concert is at 7 p.m. at the Palladium at the Center for Performing Arts.
Just Saturday, the ISO Musicians latest proposal to the Symphony Society was rejected.
