LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WISH) - A Carmel teen will be remembered at a Louisville, Ky. memorial for homicide victims Friday afternoon.

Andrew Compton, a Carmel High School graduate, was a Sullivan University student when his family reported him missing in October. A Kentucky man, Gregory O’Bryan, confessed to killing Compton during a sexual encounter.

The memorial event is at 1 p.m. Friday at the Kentucky Victims of Homicide Memorial in Louisville. Compton will be remembered along with other victims as part of Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

O’Bryan told investigators he disposed of Compton’s body in a cardboard television box, but officials couldn’t find Compton after extensive searches in landfills.
