Lightning strikes homes, causes fire

NOBLESVILLE, IN. (WISH) - Fire investigators say lightning may be to blame for fires in Noblesville on Cimorron Pass and on Symphony Boulevard Saturday morning.

Crews say lightning first struck a home at 16935 Cimorron Pass around 4:41am.

This is in the Highland at Stony Creek Housing Addition.

The fire affected two duplexes, which is a total of four units.

Everyone was able to escape unharmed.

Then at 4:50 am lightning struck this home at 15860 Symphony Boulevard.

The fire on Symphony Boulevard damaged the main house and two additional structures on either side of the home. 

No damage estimates have been given at this time.

No one was hurt.

Red Cross volunteers are assisting Noblesville fire victims with food and supplies.
