FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) - The Fishers Fire Department believes lightning was the cause of an apartment fire Friday night.

Firefighters were dispatched to the Sunblest apartment complex on Springfield Court just before 9 p.m. Friday night.

Firefighters were able to quickly contain a fire behind a dryer that had spread to the ceiling.

Witnesses say a powerful bolt of lightning hit the complex just before the fire broke out.

No one in the apartment was injured. However a firefighter was taken to the hospital to be checked out. The residents of the apartment unit will be staying with relatives until repairs are made.
