Ramp connecting Keystone, US 31 opens two weeks early

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - The new northbound ramp from Keystone Parkway to US 31 opened Saturday night two weeks ahead of schedule.
The ramp had been closed since July 30.
The work was part of reconstruction and upgrades to the freeway-style design of the new US 31 in Hamilton County, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
The state’s contractor, Walsh Construction, estimated an 80-day ramp closure.
The interchange work was part of a Major Moves program to bypass congested sections of US 31 between Indianapolis and South Bend.
