FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) - A Fishers 17-year-old is facing adult charges after police say she woke her brother up by stabbing him with a kitchen knife.
The incident happened on Jan. 7, but the teen has now been waived to adult court.
Angel Williams, 17, is charged with aggravated battery and attempted murder. Her brother sustained stab wounds to his hand, forearm, leg and face and was taken a local hospital for treatment. The teen said the attack was in retaliation for an incident three weeks prior when the brother allegedly touched her inappropriately. Investigators say they interviewed and used a polygraph on the brother and were not able to substantiate the sister's claim.
A court document indicates the girl had not been taking her medication.
A police spokesperson said there was a similar allegation from Williams made in 2009 involving her brother. Police investigated and cleared the brother of that claim as well.
