CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) -  A new controversy is brewing in the city of Carmel. 24-Hour News 8 told you about five firefighters ju st disciplined , hazing on the high school basketball team , and we're still covering the ongoing court cases there. Now, there is a viral YouTube video slamming Carmel Mayor James Brainard.

In the video an avatar styled Carmel firefighter says, “We have some serious issues with some of your decisions about this city.” An avatar styled Mayor responds, “What the hell are you talking about? I run a perfect city here.”

The videos were posted by “Malfunction88,” a faceless YouTube user listed as 31-years-old.

The videos are called “Carmel Mayor vs Carmel Firefighter” and "Carmel Strip Mall Fire.” They were posted on November 20th and had thousands of hits. The owner pulled the videos just after our story first aired at 5:00.

The videos surfaced nine days after real life Carmel firefighters battled the blaze that started at Dunkin Donuts.

The Mayor's staff said they had never even seen the video until we brought it to his office.

Carmel Fire Department employees said they've seen the video and they've heard the Chief isn't pleased.
