INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police say a Greenfield man was killed in a semi-box truck accident on Interstate 465 Thursday morning.
According to a release, Kenneth Meadows, 46, was driving a work van and for some unknown reason, hit the rear of a semi trailer driven by John Roberson, 57, of Earlville, Ill.
A witness told police Meadows was driving above the speed limit and didn’t see him use any brake lights. Investigators didn’t find any skid marks on the scene either.
Meadows was taken to Methodist and later died due to his injuries sustained in the crash.
The investigation is on going.
The incident prompted the closure of all westbound lanes near Mann Road around 8 a.m.
As of around 11:30 a.m., all westbound lanes had reopened.
