INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Two Indianapolis firefighters were being treated for minor injuries after battling a fire at a vacant home Tuesday morning

A 4-year-old girl who lives across from the vacant home, woke up and saw flames coming from the residence. She woke up her dad and told him to call 911.

Firefighters arrived to the scene around 3:30 a.m. There was heavy smoke and fire showing from the building when firefighters arrived, according to a release from IFD.

Two firefighters were injured in the incident and were taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital; they are expected to be OK.

The Department of Code Enforcement was on scene and will be asking to have to home demolished due to the severity of damages.

Two other neighboring houses were damaged in the fire.
