INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - One person is in critical condition and three others are in serious condition after a two-vehicle crash happened shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday.
The accident happened in the area of East 16th Street and North Emerson Avenue.
One person was taken into to the hospital in critical condition. Three other people were transported in serious condition.
Officers say a 5-year-old child was in one car with a female driver. The child was sitting in a child safety seat. He was to taken to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health in serious condition and the driver was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
In the other car was a female driver. Her male passenger was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition. She was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in serious condition.
Witnesses say one car ran a red light.
Two people required extrication after the crash.
