INDIANAPOLIS, IN.(WISH) - The 500 Festival announced today that Taylor Adams of Indianapolis was crowned the 2012 500 Festival Queen at the Breakfast at the Brickyard held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Adams is a junior at Purdue University where she is majoring in Public Relations and Advertising.
She is one of 33 young women who were selected for the 2012 500 Festival Princess Program, where they serve as ambassadors for the 500 Festival and Indianapolis 500.

She is a 2009 graduate of Ben Davis High School and is the daughter of Cari Adams.
Each Princess was paired with a 500 festival Board of Director and Adams' was paired with WISH-TV's President and General Manager, Jeff White.
Princess Erika Tishner of Elwood, a Graduate Student at Ball State University majoring in Architecture, and Princess Audrey Putnam of Bristol, a junior at Purdue University majoring in Management, were chosen as 2012 Princess Court members.
Tishner is the daughter of Lisa and Ron Cole and Brett Tishner.
Putnam is the daughter of Joel and Jean Putnam.
The 500 Festival Princesses represent 13 Indiana colleges and universities and 21 Hoosier cities and towns.
The young women were selected from 274 applicants based on communication skills, poise, academic performance and community and volunteer involvement.
