INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The 500 Festival kicks off with a free concert by Gavin DeGraw on April 27.
The 500 Festival REV Your Engines Concert takes place on Monument Circle. The concert kicks off the 2013 500 Festival. The theme for this year's festival is TurboCharging Indy.
"We are very excited to have secured Gavin DeGraw for the second annual 500 Festival Rev Your Engines Concert," said Kirk Hendrix, President & CEO of the 500 Festival. "We launched this event a year ago to send a flare that the exciting month of May and all its activities are approaching, and to provide the community with free, top-line entertainment."
DeGraw is known for his songs "Chariot," "I Don't Want to Be," and "Follow Through."
Last year, more than half a million Hoosiers participated in the event leading up to the Indy 500.
