INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A man cleaning tanks at a west side business was trapped inside
one of those tanks and had to be rescued Monday afternoon.
Wayne Township firefighters were called to Parts Cleaning
Technology on Distributors Drive at around 1:30 p.m.
The worker was overcome by chemical fumes and collapsed
inside the tank. Other workers were able to dismantle the tank and
pull him out just as firefighters arrived.
Those firefighters had just wrapped up a training session on
this type of rescue a short time earlier.

teams and from eight this morning until noon they were doing level

the Wayne Township Fire Department.
The worker was taken to Methodist Hospital where he was
listed in critical condition.
