INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An advisory board for Eagle Creek Park discussed Wednesday the idea of a controlled hunt to limit what is being called an over population of deer at the park.
This afternoon 24-Hour News 8 spoke to some park goers who have mixed reactions to the proposal
“Most people come out here because of the nature, but a few less deer would be a good thing, “ said park visitor Pat Buedel.
“Please do not kill the deer. They don't hurt anyone and they are such beautiful creatures,” remarked park visitor Emily Jordan.
A representative for Indy Parks said if there were to be a controlled hunt, it would definitely not be this season. The city will also seek public input before any decision is made.
