(INDIANAPOLIS) WISH - Pacers Fans are ready for their first round battle with the Orlando Magic.
The team has struggled with fan attendance all year long, but with the Pacers' success, the team is now getting the attention from more than just the die hard fans.
Director of Marketing for the Pacers Todd Taylor says he expects a packed house for Game 1.
Two hours prior to tip off there were only a few hundred tickets still available.
This comes as good news for the organization after they finished second to last in the NBA in regular season ticket sales, averaging fewer than 14,000 per home game.
Todd Taylor says the team has been receiving a lot more calls for season tickets for next year since the team's playoff birth. He says he is seeing resurgence in fan loyalty and expects struggling tickets sales to be a thing of the past.
“I think that winning is a piece of it that we are trying to be very smart with the offers we put in the market place. We are really trying to get people back here to experience it firsthand. We think our fans coming here and having a great time and talking about in the community will certainly help with that momentum," Taylor stated.
The last time the Pacers sold out was against the Chicago Bulls.
