INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indianapolis is welcoming back the blue jackets and bright futures that are hallmarks of the national FFA convention. The organization said 55,000 people will be in Indianapolis this week for the annual event.

The four-day event will include a Million Meal Rally, when convention attendees will help pack 1 million meals to be distributed those in need in the Indianapolis area and donated to Kids Against Hunger. Several other community service opportunities will also benefit various Indianapolis organizations.

A career expo will also bring hundreds of businesses, colleges and agriculture-related organizations together for convention attendees to interact with.

Figure skater Scott Hamilton is set to be the keynote speaker for the opening session this morning.

24-Hour News 8 anchor Scott Sander spoke with Ken Quick, regional vice president of the organization, about the organization and events. Click to play the video above to learn more.
