INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Planners want to know how you want to get around Central Indiana.

Organizers have more than two dozen meetings planned this month to get input from the public.

There is one Monday night at 7 p.m. at the Perry Township Government Center on Shelby Street in Indianapolis. Another public hearing is planned Tuesday night, also at 7 p.m. at the Gene Glick Family Support Center, in Indianapolis.

Will the big fix be bus, rail, or roads?

Some Brownsburg High School students are trying to help planners figure that out. They are creating a documentary about the history of trains in Indiana, and they will present their work to planners.

Joshua Brown is the man with the voice. He's narrating the documentary. “You can’t fully wrap your mind around it,” Brown told us.

Steven Albert is adding a creative eye. He's editing the groups work. Albert says he is excited about the research and what it might bring, “I just think it's really big… we can really contribute to society.”

Joshua Terrell is the brains behind the research. He's studying why our Indiana topography is ideal for this project.

“I wish to observe a human change. I don’t really care if the project goes through, I just want to see how humans react to it,” said Terrell.

The students are using the principles they learned in their TV production class at Brownsburg High School to bring their train project to life. The young consultants will present their work to planners this spring.
