INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Repairs on the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in downtown Indianapolis is taking longer than expected.
Work started in late September and was supposed to take about a month.
Crews put in vertical windows to replace the angled windows that caused rain to seep in.
New steel supports for the Liberty Statue and air conditioning are among the other upgrades.
The observation deck is slated to open after Thanksgiving, but the gift shop and museum below are open to visitors.
