INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - There is no question the Indiana Pacers are on a hot streak and have even clinched home court advantage for the first round of the play-offs.
But the success of the team does not seem to be paying off when it comes to attendance.
The Pacers have won 11 of their past 12 games prior to Saturday and are riding a hot streak all the way to the play-offs.
But unfortunately for the team this success has not been met with capacity crowds.
The Pacers average just under 14,000 fans per home game, second worse in the league only to the New Jersey Nets.
Todd Taylor Vice President for Marketing says the team has gone along way building a franchise fans can be proud of.
“From a national perspective we might not be a glamorous as some of the other teams with a single star on the team we think we fit this market place pretty good we have a great group of guys 7 or 8 that can start on another team I think as people get to know these guys they are going to pack bankers life field house,"
Taylor says the good news is the Pacers are selling an average of 500 more tickets per game then this time last year. Taylor says there are plenty of tickets still available for the playoffs which begin next week
