Police investigate mall shooting

IMPD is investigating a shooting at Lafayette Square Mall. They are also investigating a body found just before 6 o'clock Friday night in front of a house at 2102 North Sharon Avenue. Police aren't sure yet if the two incidents are related.
Both incidents were reported to police around the same time, but police say the shooting had happened about a half hour before it was reported.
A man at the mall called police and said that he had gotten in to an argument near the food court in Lafayette Square Mall. The argument escalated and then shots were fired.
A short time later, police got a call that there was an unconscious man in a front yard at 2101 N. Sharon Avenue. Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Police are working to find out if these two incidents are related.
