INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Around 1,500 union workers at Allison Transmission in Indianapolis are preparing for a possible strike.

Negotiations between members of the United Auto Workers Local 933 and the Indianapolis Transmission plant continue. The deadline for an agreement is Wednesday night.

The assistant director of UAW Region 2B told 24-Hour News 8 that no strike is imminent. Steve Kemp said planning for a strike is part of the contract negotiation process.
