INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis man was taken back to the Marion County Jail Friday after threatening to mail Anthrax to the jail according to a police report.
A caller told Marion County Sheriff’s Office that they would get a letter with a white powdery substance and, “it will be Anthrax!,” the report said.
Deputies called the number back and spoke with Jason Fancher, 36, who reported he made several calls before hanging up.
Investigators traced the call to the 400 Block of E. Washington Street. Officers found Fancher outside and detained him.
According to the police report, Fancher told investigators he made the calls but did not have Anthrax. He told deputies he had temper problems.
Deputies say Fancher refused to allow them to search his apartment so they took him into custody until a search warrant could be obtained.
Fancher faces a charge of intimidation.
