INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The set of wheels racing around the track were not the only things to see at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.
Armed Forces Day was celebrated with the branches of our military well represented.
A number of vehicles and equipment used by the armed forces were on display for people to check out and kids to climb around on.
Its a win-win for both civilians and service members, because it gets both sides talking.
Army Chief Warrant Officer Jason Kummer told us that it's "giving the public a chance to see what we do and what equipment we use.
"People normally ask questions... you know about stuff they see in the news and so its a good opportunity to interact with the public and tell them what we do."
Vehicles used during World War 1, World War 2 and the Vietnam war were also on display.
