INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A trip of a life-time hangs in limbo for several members of the Arsenal Tech Choir.
The group was selected to perform as part of the Walt Disney World's Magic Music Days program. But the cost of going to Orlando is too much for many of the students who are low income or even homeless. The show choir's director tells us they need to raise $42,000 before April so all 54 members can make the trip.
“Some are homeless. We have a couple to in the shelter. We have some students I have already talked to their parents they can not afford this trip it’s a little over 700 dollars each child,” remarked Cindy Hartshorn.
The group has been performing in the evenings including a performance of Christmas carols held Tuesday at the Englewood Christian Church to raise money for their trip.
