BEECH GROVE, Ind. (WISH) - A student at Beech Grove High School was arrested after creating a disturbance in a classroom.
On Wednesday, a 15-year-old male student began throwing paper in a Beech Grove High School room.
The teen was asked by his teacher to stop throwing the paper, at which point he became upset and began yelling at another student in the room who was complaining of his actions.
The student stood up from his seat and left the classroom. He entered the hallway and proceeded to turn over a custodian’s cart, breaking a broom.
The teen then walked into the lunchroom and began throwing chairs, police say.
One of the chairs struck the student’s teacher in the hand which caused him to bleed. After the student turned over a table he was taken into custody by police.
He was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery with injury.
