INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has released the handful of messages exchanged between Office David Bisard and another officer before Bisard plowed into motorcycles in August.
The crash killed one person and severely injured two others. On Wednesday, IMPD officials released a 47-page report detailing their internal investigation into the matter. The report concluded Bisard was sending and receiving messages on his in-car laptop while responding to a call to which it wasn’t necessary for him to respond.
According to the report, Officer Bisard sent his last laptop transmission at 11:19 a.m. He received his last transmission at 11:20 a.m. The crash occurred between 11:19 a.m. and 11:21 a.m.

The messages were exchanged while the Indiana State Fair was in progress, though it’s unclear if the officers were referring to the state fair.
