INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police say a body was found in a car that was overturned in a creek on the Northwest side of Indy Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to Westland Road and Township Road after a witness alerted police of a car in the creek.

After investigating, police discovered an overturned silver Honda Civic in a creek with a body inside.

The body found in the car was reported missing recently and the accident happened more than 24 hours ago, according to police.

Police do not expect foul play and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday with the Marion County Coroner.
