INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A student expelled for bringing a stun gun to school to fend off bullies is suing Indianapolis Public Schools.

17-year-old Dynasty Young says he was bullied because he is gay. His mother gave him a stun gun for protection.

Young was expelled from Arsenal Tech High School in the spring of 2012 after enduring anti-gay bullying. He was reinstated earlier this month. Young will not however return to Arsenal Tech. Instead, Indianapolis Public Schools has assigned him to the New Horizons Alternative School.

Young is being represented by the National Center for Lesbian Rights.
