INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A woman who was being held on failure to appear in court on a burglary charge escaped from Wishard Memorial Hospital late Thursday night, according to a release from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Sara Lindsey Ipock was being held for failure to appear in Kentucky court when she was transported to Wishard Memorial Hospital for medical attention. She freed herself from restraint devices and escaped the hospital just before 11 p.m. Wednesday night.

Ipock was captured within three hours from a residence in the 5400 block of West Washington Street. During the struggle, she received a K9 bite and officers made a total of six arrests at the home.

Ipock was arrested on scene for escape and resisting law enforcement.
