INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A family-owned Indianapolis business is shutting its doors after more than a half-century in business.

Gerdt Furniture opened in 1959. It has continued to be owned and operated by the family since then. Current owners John and Cheri Gerdt called the decision to close a difficult one.

The business will be liquidating its remaining inventory starting Friday.
