Car crashes into home, man extricated

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Fire Department responded to the 5600 block of S. Emerson Ave. Sunday morning where a car had crashed into a home.

Crews were dispatched at 8:49 a.m. and learned a male driver was headed south on Emerson Ave when he made contact with a woman in another vehicle. His car went off the road and crashed into a residence.

The male victim was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital. The female victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital Indianapolis.

Both are in stable condition.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
