INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A car show benefit was held Saturday for the victims of the Richmond Hill subdivision explosion.

The event was held by a local car club, Sadistic Kustomz. The group organized the benefit in three days.

Originally, organizers had planned for 50 cars to register for the car show, but Saturday more than 200 arrived.

Each car gave a $10 registration fee. All money raised went to Richmond Hill explosion victims.

“Were part of this community and we wanted to make sure the community knew that,” event organizer Corinne Flora said. “We wanted to come together and make sure the victims were taken care of.”

The event was held at Incredible Pizza on the city’s south side. The restaurant also gave 15 percent of the day’s sales to victims.
