CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - 19-year-old Carmel High school basketball player Robert Kitzinger’s, attorney Bruce Boje is asking for the teen’s hearing to be postponed again according to his written request.
The request states, “there are current circumstance which may eliminate the need for this hearing and additional time is needed to determine if the hearing is necessary.”
The hearing was supposed to be this Friday.
Judge Hamilton William Hughes has not yet ruled on Boje's request.
The original hearing was postponed using the same reasoning.
Boje wasn’t immediately available for comment Monday.
Kitzinger, Oscar Falodun,18, Brandon Hoge, 18, and Scott Laskowski, 20, are all facing charges for allegedly hazing younger players returning to the school on the sports bus.
Boje, and Kitzinger’s other representative James Vovles, requested a change of venue in June. They say the intense media coverage and “public hostility” will jeopardize his right to a fair trial.
The trial is scheduled for Sept. 16 in Hamilton Superior Court 3.
A couple from Benton County was arrested for meth Saturday afternoon.
