INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A cat who was hit by a car, shot and left to die over the weekend in Indianapolis is expected to make a full recovery the Humane Society of Indianapolis (IndyHumane) reports.
The 4-year-old male cat named “Big Bob,” was found by volunteers who rushed him to IndyHumane for urgent medical care.
Big Bob’s leg was ultimately amputated due to the severity of a fracture but, he is expected to make a full recovery.
IndyHumane relies on donations to provide typical veterinary care for rescued animals but says the bill for Big Bob’s surgery will far exceed what it normally spends on rescued animals.
Hoosiers can learn how to adopt Big Bob or even learn how to assist with the costs of his life-saving medical care by calling IndyHumane at 317-872-5650.
Do you know what to do if you find an injured animal? What if you suspect abuse or cruelty? IndyHumane has a list of steps you can follow to get help and take action.
