Cheerleader comes to football coach's rescue

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A cheerleader became a hero Saturday night in Indianapolis, as a minor league football team took to the field.
A coach of the Indianapolis Tornados collapsed on the field Saturday during a game.
Jessica Anderson, part of the Syrens cheerleading squad ran to his rescue. Anderson, also an EMT and firefighter, gave the man CPR.
Gina Fosso, who works with the cheerleaders, says Jessica saved his life. "The girl kept going when the crowd was saying 'he's gone' which really shook the ladies up and Jessica kept going at it no matter what."
The coach was rushed to the hospital after being revived. The coach was found to have hyperglycemia, hypertension, and hypothermia which caused a dysrythmia in his heart. At last check he was up and talking.
Jessica says she thinks everyone should be CPR certified and is glad she was there to help the situation.
