Child hit by car seriously injured

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A child was struck by a car Wednesday evening near East 33rd Street and North Keystone Avenue.
Officers say the 8-year-old was seriously injured and taken to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.
Keystone Avenue was temporarily closed after the accident.
The driver of the vehicle involved was on the scene as the investigation began.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident.
