INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say a child was sent to this hospital in critical condition after an accident involving a driver school semi Saturday morning.
Officers say the incident occurred just after 8:30 a.m. near Shelby and Raymond Streets. The crash involved a driver school semi and a van.
Witnesses say the semi truck had the green light and had just entered the intersection when the crash occurred.
According to a release from the Indianapolis Fire Department, the drivers were not injured. However, a 6-year-old boy and an 8-year-old boy were transported to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.
A spokesperson with IU Health says that, as of 5:45 p.m. Saturday, one child was released from the hospital and the other was listed in good condition.
