INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - If you were in downtown Indianapolis on Monday, you may have noticed emergency crews at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. The cause was a pre-planned emergency drill, which museum officials said went “very well.”

“The safety of our children and families who visit us as well as the safety of our staff and volunteers is the top priority of the Children's Museum of Indianapolis,” said Kimberly Harms, director of public and media relations for the museum. “We strongly believe practice exercises like this are an essential part of being prepared and better equipped to handle an actual emergency should one arise.”

The museum is normally closed on Mondays, so the drill did not disrupt activities.
