INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Sunday marks the one year anniversary of the water and wastewater utility acquisition for Citizens Energy Group.
According to a release from Citizens, the acquisition is a nearly $2 billion project that was approved by the City-County Council to put the operation of water and wastewater utilities in the hands of Citizen's Energy Group.
"When the acquisition was complete last August, Citizens promised we would safely operate the systems with a focus on operational excellence, outstanding customer service, annual savings and transparency," said Carey Lykins, President and CEO of Citizens Energy Group. "I am pleased to report that we are meeting these commitments."
Some main highlights of the year are operational excellence, improved customer service, more annual savings, and transparency.
The anniversary falls while Marion County is still under a watering ban .
