INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Officials in Marion County announced that 1,071 early voters voted on Sunday.
In the first hour, 200 people were processed. Since early voting began in Marion County on Oct. 8, a total of 8,954 people have voted.
On Saturday, 910 early voters turned out. In a release, the Marion County Clerk's Office said this was no comparison to 2008 as Marion County was not open this weekend for early voting.
Starting Monday, extended hours will begin in Marion County. The Marion County Clerk’s Office is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 4
Early voting retires at noon on Monday, Nov. 5.
