INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - On Sunday's Colts home opener against the Minnesota Vikings, the Indianapolis Colts will be hosting a school supply drive to benefit Teachers' Treasures.
From 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. volunteers will be collecting school supplies outside each Lucas Oil Stadium gate. All donated items will benefit more that 1.700 Indianapolis area school teachers and their students.
Teachers' Treasures is a non-profit organization that offers supplies such as paper, pencils, erasers, crayons, various art supplies, books, and classroom furniture. In the last 12 years, Teachers' Treasures has distributed more than $30 million worth of free school supplies to Marion County schools.
Throughout the 2012 Colts season, the team will support a different charitable organization before each home game.
