INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A construction worker was injured Tuesday afternoon while working 15-20 feet below ground.
The incident happened at a site near 16th Street and Senate Avenue. Officials said the worker was in a tight, confined area when he was hit in the head by an unknown object.
The worker, a 50-year-old man, injured his neck and was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital for treatment.
Firefighters used ropes to rescue the man, who was an employee of Wittenburg Construction.
