Panel blocks concert venue plan

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Metropolitan Planning Commission voted against a rezoning request for a new outdoor concert venue and beer garden in the Meridian Kessler neighborhood.
More than 100 residents had petitioned against the plan for the property at 53rd Street and Winthrop Avenue, expressing concern over noise and parking issues.
The developers can appeal the decision, though it was unclear if they would.
