INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Wayne Township Fire Department, Pike Township Fire Department, and the Indianapolis Fire Department responded to an apartment fire on the city's northwest side Saturday night.

The first report of the incident came in around 8:40 p.m.

Crews responded to the fire on the 6400 block of Stockport Road at the Scarborough Lakes Apartments. Wayne Township Fire tweeted there was entrapment involved.

Authorities at the scene say one man was trapped on the third floor balcony for about 15 minutes. Firefighters were able to get the man down.

He was not injured.

The fire started in a unit on the second floor. The building has 12 units total. At least three of those units were damaged, two heavily.

Crews say no injuries have been reported in the incident.

The apartment complex will be working to get displaced residents housing for the night.
