INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Emergency crews were in downtown Indianapolis Thursday afternoon after someone fell into the White River, officials at the scene told 24-Hour News 8.
Officials say a person fell from the Washington Street bridge into the river. Another person jumped in after them.
It happened around 2:51 p.m. Thursday. A witness told 24-Hour News 8 it appeared the woman who fell in was taking photos before falling.
The IFD Dive Team had both victims rescued within eight minutes. They were taken to area hospitals to be treated for hypothermia.
