INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Many Richmond Hill residents left their pets behind when they evacuated following Saturday's explosion.
Now, an effort is under way to help catch pets lost after the explosion. Crews from Animal Care and Control and Indy Feral spent much of the day Tuesday setting traps inside the Richmond Hill neighborhood.
They said it’s too early to tell how many pets are missing . But they hope the traps will catch pets who are returning to the area.
Animal Care and Control tells 24-Hour-News 8 they will hold any pet recovered for free for 10 days.
