INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A CSX train has derailed on the west side of Indianapolis.

Shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday, Wayne Township Fire crews were sent to a train fire near Country Club Road and Rockville Road.

The initial call indicated a rail car wheel had caught fire.

Wayne Township Fire Capt. Mike Pruitt tells 24-Hour News 8 that 18 rail cars have derailed. All of the cars are still upright.

Fire crews say they don't believe anything has spilled or leaked.

There are no reports of any injuries.

Crews are waiting for daybreak to get a better assessment of the incident.
